Chiropractic Adjustments
There are 24 bones that protect the spinal cord. These bones at times may lose their normal position or motion. When this happens, the nerve tissue may become choked or irritated. After a thorough examination, if there is malfunctioning present, chiropractic adjustments are recommended to correct the problem.

How does an adjustment work? The use of specific force in a precise direction is applied to to a joint that is fixated, "locked up", or not moving in a proper fashion. The purpose of the adjustment is to return the bones to their normal position or motion. The end result of this treatment is to alleviate pain and ill health.
There are actually hundreds of ways to adjust a spine. Adjustments may be administered by either the use of hands or a specially designed instrument. Dr. Lindstrom has been trained in hundreds of ways to perform an adjustment and is very skilled at choosing a method that will benefit the patient the most.
The adjustments that you receive will aide to normalize the spinal function and assist to avoid soft tissue and bone degeneration. Once the nervous system is healed the body will begin its natural healing process.
Therapeutic Exercise
Lindstrom Chiropractic Clinic offers an exercise ball class. So get on the ball for a healthier back. We offer both beginning and advanced stability ball training classes. These classes are designed to improve the strength of your trunk (core) musculature. Clients who have attended these classes on a regular basis have found an improvement in their posture, balance, work endurance, daily life activities, and athletic performance. Best of all, this class is FUN!

Sports Medicine
Our Sports Medicine Department offers a variety of specialized soft tissue therapies - proven in the athletic arena - to athletes and non-athletes alike. These include ultrasound, electro-muscle stimulation including interferential current, and laser therapy. All are painless and noninvasive.

Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to break down and dispose of painful calcium deposits and trigger points (hard tissue accumulations).

Electro-muscle therapy uses small amounts of electrical current to reduce pain and swelling in soft tissue injuries.

Laser therapy is ideal for sprains and strains to reduce pain and inflammation, especially for athletes and others seeking accelerated healing.
